Bursaries and Skills Development
Browns is a huge advocate of job creation. Each year we invite hundreds of young South Africans to take up our distinguished bursaries and internships across the disciplines of commerce, engineering and jewellery making.

Anotable mention is our own Myra Moses. We are immensely proud of Myra who joined Browns back in 2012 as a Store Assistant. In time, she took advantage of our bursary programme to pursue a business degree and with tenacity and hard work, she flourished both academically and professionally. Myra now heads up our Jewellery Workshop where she has paid it forward by upskilling dozens of graduates through the Browns Academy. From having no marketable skills, our Workshop interns eventually command competitive salaries in the fields of diamond setting and goldsmithing.
Browns is a major player in talent development across the South African diamond jewellery industry. Mining is a lifline for many Africans providing employment, essential infrastructure and education for millions of people across the continent. When you purchase diamonds from Browns, you are supporting local communities, female-headed households and fair wages that support countless families.
